Become part of a wild history at the famous Hotel Da Vinci
Located at number 25 Rue des Saints-Pères in Paris, France, the Hotel Da Vinci has quite a legitimate claim to fame: in August 1911, Leonardo da Vinci’s most celebrated painting, the Mona Lisa (La Gioconda), was kept in one of the hotel’s rooms after being stolen from the Louvre.
Today, guests can book this room (coined the “Adorateur”) for a stay. Like the rest of the rooms at this upscale, over-the-top, and glamorous hotel, the Mona Lisa Room captures the essence of the Renaissance period with eye-catching light fixtures, fresco-like wallpaper, and deep, moody colors. The Mona Lisa Room, in particular, is adorned with ornate ceiling tiles, a wide mattress set on a bed frame upholstered in red velvet, and comes with its very own private balcony.
The rest of the rooms at the Hotel da Vinci are similarly dedicated to names and movements from the Renaissance period. Take, for example, the Medici rooms, the Inventions rooms, and the Inspiration rooms. Another important room, the Adoration Room, is intertwined in this hotel’s magnificent history: it was here that the man who stole the Mona Lisa, Vincenzo Peruggia, took refuge as authorities searched the city for the painting and its captor.
With so much history, the Hotel Da Vinci is a unique place to stay while in Paris. The hotel management also takes pride in providing excellent guest service and cleanliness to all who stay here. To underline this, the hotel has partnered with Valpas, a travel startup who has created a product that protects hotels from bed bugs, to ensure their guests sleep well and without worry. Valpas ensures the Hotel Da Vinci is safe of bed bugs now and in the future using their groundbreaking preventative technology, which is fast becoming the industry standard.
So, what are you waiting for? Insert yourself into a Parisian history involving Leonardo da Vinci, the Mona Lisa, and an Italian art thief by booking a stay at the Hotel Da Vinci.
