Exterminating bed bugs
Does baking soda kill bed bugs?
Baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) does not kill bed bugs. There is no scientific evidence that it would cause bed bugs to dry out, damage their shell or kill them through consumption. The most effective treatment is using heat above 60C (140F) which can reach into cracks and crevices. The best way to prevent bed bugs is through early detection with frequent manual inspections or an automated system.
