Identifying bed bugs
Do bed bugs live in luggage?
Bed bugs may get into your luggage if you leave it on the bed or on the floor in a room with a bed bug infestation. In the bag, the bed bugs may hide in clothes or between folds, seams and pockets. If you are concerned that you may have picked up bed bugs while travelling, unpack your bag outside in bright light and place clothes in plastic bags before cleaning them on high heat. Then inspect all parts of your bag with a flashlight, vacuum clean it carefully and perform a heat treatment with a steamer if possible. Temperatures above 60C (140F) kill bed bugs reliably.
